1. Terms of Use

1.1 Scope

Eris Retail is high-volume retail software (POS & trade management) provided as a service over the internet. Access is granted to registered users with personal credentials (username, password and customer access key).

1.2 Account & security

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for every action carried out through your account. You must notify the Company immediately in the event of unauthorised access. Sharing your credentials with third parties is prohibited.

1.3 Acceptable use

You undertake to use the application lawfully and in accordance with its purpose. Any attempt at unauthorised access, interference with its operation, copying or decompilation of the software is prohibited, as is any use that endangers the security or availability of the service for other users.

1.4 Customer data

The data you enter (documents, business contacts, inventory etc.) belongs to your business. The Company acts as processor on your behalf and does not use this data for any purpose beyond providing the service.

1.5 Availability & liability

We make every reasonable effort to keep the service running continuously and securely, without however guaranteeing absolute availability. We are not liable for indirect damages arising from outages, force majeure or incorrect use. Keeping backups in accordance with your service agreement is recommended.

1.6 Intellectual property

The software, design, logos and content of the application are the intellectual property of Semantic Computing and are protected by applicable law.

2. Privacy Policy

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Greek law. The data controller is Semantic Computing.

2.1 What data we collect

• Sign-up/contact details: first name, last name, email, phone.
• Account details: username, settings, interface language.
• Usage data: IP address, technical log files for security and support purposes.
• Business data: whatever you enter in the application.

2.2 Purpose & legal basis

• Providing and operating the service (performance of a contract).
• Communication about sign-up requests, support and updates (legitimate interest/consent).
• Security, abuse prevention and compliance with legal obligations.

2.3 Retention

Data is retained for as long as your account is active and for the period required by law or by the service agreement. Sign-up requests that do not result in an activated account are deleted within a reasonable time.

2.4 Sharing with third parties

We do not sell personal data. We may share data only with infrastructure/service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. hosting, certified e-invoicing providers), under appropriate contractual safeguards, or where required by law.

2.5 Security

We apply technical and organisational measures (transport encryption over HTTPS, access controls, per-customer data isolation) to protect your data.

3. Cookies

The application uses strictly necessary cookies in order to operate (e.g. the session authentication cookie after sign-in and an optional “Remember me” cookie). No advertising or tracking cookies are used. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, as they are essential for providing the service.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent. To exercise your rights, please contact us. You also retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
